INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY PROTECTION
 

Currently, the Intellectual Property Division of the Attorney General's Chambers (AGC) administers the following intellectual property rights legislation.

  • Trade Marks Act (Cap 98)
  • Trade Marks Rules, 2000
  • Copyright Order, 1999
  • Industrial Designs Order, 1999
  • Industrial Designs Rules, 2000
  • Layout Designs Order, 1999

The BEDB, on the other hand, is responsible for the administration and registration of patents through the Patent Registry Office (PRO). For more information on the registration process, visit the PRO's website at www.brunei-patents.com.bn.
